Capable of 4 banks of 99 channels. It has been many many years since I programmed a Tad radio. You do need to take off the cover, and short two contacts that were near the from of the radio. There was, as far as I can remember, a 'matrix' of some sort to determine 1, 2, 3 or 4 banks.

Decent radio, basic, but decent. If you take the top cover off by removing the 4 screws on top and loosening the side mounting screws and take the top off there is a chrome box that is removable. Once removed there are 6 switches, when looking at them from the front of the radio from right to left the second from the right or I believe its #2 should be pulled towards the front of the radio. After you've done this when you press and hold program button it should go into D prog. You need to enter a 4 digit code to move the numbers you turn the tuning dial to go to the next number you press Pri after you've entered the 4 digit code you hit disp to select.
